| Alice is lost in Wonderland | Crafty, magical and weird wonderland. What does it feel like to be as small as your thumb or as big as a house? |
| Animal Day | Have you always wanted to look after a pig, chicken or a goat? Then come along to our animal day and you can spend the day learning how. Be prepared to get dirty with mucking out the chicken and pigs or grooming and bathing a goat! |
| Art Day | One of our most exciting days ever! This is your opportunity to create a natural work of art; create a model to take home and be part of a team that creates a masterpiece from all our recycled materials |
| Aztec Antics and Mayan Mayhem | Come and learn about the Aztecs and the Mayans. You’ll live and hear all about their antics and stories and make some authentic South American crafts. Also, come and see if you can find some gold! |
| Batman and Robin | Come and join in some fun activities and learn about Bats and Birds. |
| Bats & Birds | This day includes activities to link in with National Bird Feeding Day; preparing the centre for feeding the birds as the winter nights draw in and the birds and other wildlife need a little extra help as the first frost looms. Make your own cone feeder to take home to feed the birds in your garden. As for bats – these are the only mammal that flies. Let’s prepare a bat box and a flight path for them at the Gordon Brown Centre, and make your own Bat Mask for Halloween! |
| Beautiful Butterflies | Go on a butterfly hunt to identify and observe many of the beautiful butterflies to be found at the centre. Find butterfly food, tend our butterfly garden and learn about the lifecycle of a butterfly whilst making your own chrysalis and butterfly to take home. |
| Big Cook Little Cook | Have fun with our GBC Chefs to make two treats. Make Animal biscuits such as a cow or perhaps a pig and then hand decorate them. Make a chef’s hat so you can look the part when you get home! Later on make your very own butterfly buns and decorate a plate to take them home on. |
| Big Garden Little Garden | Discover gardens BIG and small here at the centre by taking part in a Grand Opening Ceremony. Explore and collect natural materials to make your own miniature garden to take home. Work on the BIG growing garden, weeding, planting and watering the crops and then make your own bio-degradable plant pot and plant a bean! |
