Residentials

During a residential stay children can learn, play, create and discover in the natural environment, guided by teachers and trained staff.

A week's experiences will stay with children their entire lives; making friends, exploring forests and climbing on the low ropes while learning about the environment and their relationship with it.

Staff at the centre are trained and equipped to deal with all children, no matter what age range or ability level.

CanoeingExperience a session in our Canadian Canoes on the Basingstoke canal, a short trip away from the centre in the minibus.An even mix of information and active periods.
ConservationActivities may include sowing seeds, weeding or harvesting the vegetable garden or flower beds, turning the compost heaps, harvesting apples and blackberries, or building on willow constructions.An even mix of information and active periods.
Earth Experience Complete the Earth Experience programme and become an Earth Saver.Longer periods of input / listening / concentration required. - 2-day experience
Environmental ArtThis activity can use a variety of materials found around the centre to produce a keepsake to take home. Detailed below are some ideas, please note however that this is not an exhausted list – there are many more ideas detailed in the evening activities section as well.

Fires and CookingThis takes place in the spec trail woods, or sometimes in the Tipis.Even mix of information and active periods.
