Shelter Building

Shelter building offers the chance to experiment and explore various ways of constructing a shelter using natural resources. The issues of who uses shelters and why is discussed with a chance to look at shelters and their use within the centre (tipis, hornbeam and willow constructions.)

Children work in groups to design and build small or large scale shelters and learn valuable teamwork and communication skills along the way.
