Wildlife Study

From the log piles and shady clearings of the wildlife area to the purpose built butterfly garden, grassy fields and boggy puddles the Centre is home to a wide variety of wildlife waiting to be discovered. A range of equipment is available to allow collection and investigation.

The centre wildlife area contains a range of habitats including the pond. This is home to a fantastic range of aquatic life including newts, dragonfly lave, water boatman and sails.

Children can take a dip in the pond and identify the animals by using simple keys and their observation skills. Sessions focuses on close encounters linked to habitats, adoptions and lifecycles.
